Generally several sessions are necessary to achieve the desired result.<\/li>\n<li>by placing silicone prosthesis at the hairline with 1 to 3 incisions of 3 cm long, by inserting a central frontal implant and \/ or a temporal implant in each temple. The facial oval extends from the chin to the mandibular angle. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Mandibular angle implants restore a well defined jaw contour<\/strong>. They come in many shapes and sizes allowing various augmentations including, an increase in the length of the ramus (bone portion located between the earlobe and the corner of the mandibular angle), an increase of the width of the mandibles, an improved definition of the mandibular bodies (bone portion located between the chin and the corners of the mandibular angles) and an augmentation of several areas in the same procedure.\n<\/p>\n<p>Mandibular angle implants are available in different materials: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>silicone implants coated with or without polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE). These are flexible and can be inserted through small incisions and are easy to remove if needed. There is a wide choice of silicone implants to adapt to all conditions.<\/li>\n<li>The porous polyethylene (MEDPOR) implants are partly integrated into the bone. Their placement is a little more restrictive than with silicone implants because they must be inserted through larger incisions. They are also screwed to the bone. Over time the bone resorption with this type of implant is very low in comparison to silicone implants where resorption is more noticeable.
